Rick_1138 0
Hi all,bit of a noob question here and i hate to start a thread on it, but i have tried searching using various terms but to no avail. Can anyone tell me how much oil i need to do a complete oil change in my 2.8 Golf VR6.This change will include filter and the engine has done plus 100k miles so i will be using a higher engine mileage oil, probably castrol, as i have lots of experience with it.Cheers all, Again apologies for uber noob query but i simply don't know the volume. Kelster 0
I am fairly certain it is 5.5 litres.
craggsy 91
Yep 5.5 litres needed which is a pain as you can only buy 5litres then have to spend more on a 1 litre bottle. Just buy 2 x 5litres then you have it for topping up and 5 litres is quite cheap at TPS

Damo 85 0
to be honest you'd prob be better using fuchs / synta silver from gsf/vw respectively... but either way you will need 5.5ltrs!
