My Borbet A's finally came yesterday and as per the title the inside of the rim is grinding on the front brake pads. Never heard of any problems when fitting the 7.5j's!

Any suggestions?? They are 7.5j all round 16" 5x100.

Anyone had similar problems? Would shaving a bit off them be a bad idea?

All help appreciated I'm desperate to get them on!

Cheers, Ross

p.s don't really wanna use spacers!

Sorry about the poor quality pic and dodgy paint skills but it shows roughly where a groove was scored. Have only tried the front drivers side as haven't had much time, will see if the other sides any different 2moro.

Wondered if i get away with shaving a few mm off, would that cause any probs do you think?

Cheers

Thats not a pic of mine but shows where it seems to be catching. I got the borbets new from Rimstyle so should fit really as I said they were goin on a golf vr.

My knowledge is pretty limited I've never fiddled with a car before getting this one!

Dude if you bought these wheels new I hope your getting the guys who sold you the rims to stand to the cost of the spacers needed, If you told them what car you were fitting them to they were responsible for seling you the correct wheels, in fact get them to sort the correct wheels full stop

cheers matt

I'm chuffed, lovin the borbets!

Had a go at raising the front aswell cos drivers side is rubbing the arch on lock, but its so tight i couldn't turn the rings at all! They've been set like that for a year and a half so not surprised really lol. How do you get around this?

Cheers
