ez_101 1
no no guys, i replaced my relays with new ones, they dont click coz there is no power getting to them, i have tested the switch on the dash and there is no power going to the switch which would enable it to turn on and click! do these run of a fuse? if its not the fuse it will be the wiring loom i think!! mrwerthers 0
I had a few heated seat problems. Nomally it's the seat element at fault. This usually gives a open cicuit when checked through the element itself. They poss have a temp sensor or resistor in the element too, to stop the element getting too hot. And i'm not certain but i think this then stops any voltage supply to the relays. This means when checking there is no or hardly any voltage, but this is due to the open circuit of the element. It makes sense as well that the drivers seat normally goes, cause it is used more. My problem is that my passenger seat works, but hardly gets hot, just slightly warm. As my drivers seat doesn't work at all, i can't compare it to anything, only the brand new audi seats, and they get very hot! Does anyone know if golf heated seats on a mk3 are really that effective? Moochalargo 0
They are not like the seats in the new audis!! my friend has a Q7 and that almost burnt my ass!!lolCheck the wires that come out of the seat for ring continuity!! may work!! when mine went it was the resistor that failed but i had no luck finding one so got a new element! the base one!
