DUBSTERVR6 0 Posted February 5, 2009 Report Share Posted February 5, 2009 i used my vr6 the other day as normal,when i returned 3.5 hours later it would not start?all the ignition lights light up but the engine will not turnover?there is not even a click from the starter.i have had the battery checked and charged so all is fine there.any sugestions appreciatedps prior to this ran sweet as a nut with no problems.also have managed to start it with a tow but e ngine dies unless you keep the revs up (no missfireing)when you turn it off everything is dead again? Dave Lea 4 Posted February 5, 2009 Report Share Posted February 5, 2009 ignition switch ..starter motor...bad earth or live wire to motor ...probe the starter solinoid with the ignition on if nowt hapens then starter had it if it starts then poss switch prob or earth Link to post Share on other sites

gavinvr6 0 Posted February 6, 2009 Report Share Posted February 6, 2009 mines similar, it just does nothing to the starter on the odd occasion, found it eventually was a dodgy plug that slips off every now and then and just needed a nudge back into place, i think it has a broken clip Link to post Share on other sites
