DH73 0
When I bought the car it didn't come with a spare key. I've just been quoted £120+ VAT by my local VW dealer. Anyone know a cheaper way?
SHARKY 0
Can't you get a locksmith to do it?I asked a local one for my VR6 he quoted me £40 even though its a transponder key... Then just keep the original one safe and use that one.I didn't do it though as I thought they had rolling codes, but I'm going to give it a go when I get paid.
richievr 1
i don't think anyone apart from vw will be able to code the new key to the immobiliser.. :-( unfortunately i think you may have to bite the bullet on that one..
Charged VR 0
Most Car Locksmith should be able to cut and code the key. The one that i use never has a problem
