mightymidget 0
Should be faster than that. 7.2 is the official listed 0-60. You've got to launch to get that with a standard VR. You might have a problem. If it was me teh first thing I'd do is get the Codes checked with a VAGCOM
viral88 0
7.2 is the official 0-60mp/h time but 0-100km/h is a fraction longer, i want to purchase a VAGCOM but how do i know which one is the right one to get for my car, I've seen plenty different code readers and am confused about which one to actually get for my car. Where is the best place to get one bearing in mind i stay in South Africa

gavinvr6 0
either you have a poorly vr mate or you cant drive lol. seriously though get it on vagcom at a local vw or garage. vagcom will help. try giving the engine the once over. check plugs leads coilpack any sensors for dodgy connections all that kind of stuff. a 10 second vr is seriously off, a standard vr is 0-62 (100kmh) in 7.2 seconds and should give a real hard kick, and pull all the way to over 6000rpm quickly and without any problems. a standard vr should still make 8 seconds no probs. im not sure what 220kmh is but my standard vr made 145mph(speedo reading), which i think is pretty respectable for a 1993 car with 136,000 miles. also do you have any heavy items in the boot or does this time include passengers?
