1cal 0
Hello all,I watched the Top Gear tuning feature on Sunday, and this coupled with posted rolling road results has got me thinking about BHP loss as cars age. What sort of things could/should be done to a car to restore its original power output?Any ideas welcome ta
Amj 0
well firstly you should give it a good full service the carr should respond to this and they are many more but this option should be taken first
mightymidget 0
Yeah, I watched that too. What was it? 156bhp back to the standard 210ish. I don't think were talking about your standard oil and filter change to get those results!!I think 'May' mentioned he changed the injectors so I guess they were probably screwed. That would certainly acount for that huge increase.
rigs 0
On modern engines like that had though you can loose 50hp just through a sensor misreading...The renault v6s are notorious for the coolant temperate sensor going and the power losses are significant... all for the sake of changing a £10 sensor.
