Quite straight forward but requires technique!

1. Undo front engine mount and jack engine under front of sump as high as it will go

2. Remove Airbox

3. Relieve tension on Aux Belt with allen bolt

4. Remove allen bolts from water pump - use 3/8 or 1/4 socket set

5. Remove water pump - usually corroded to block so use a 1" wood chisel to separate

6. Reassemble preferably with new Aux Belt & Auto Tensioner - total cost from GSF c£100

Good luck!

if your exhaust has a flex joint then all is ok. if not then it will help

Once you are under/in that area you will see you do actually need to raise the lump further than you might have expected.

As always as this area is close to the road it attracts all the salt and crap so it always a pig to release. Releasing oil and a twatting device with a selection of extensions are always helpful.

it is an easy job to actually do as the guys said a few bolts and a jack... so it should be no issues. As the guys suggest. Always worth replacing the belts as your there

enjoy :D
