Edit: Help regarding permatex.

Recommended Posts

Hey there, sorry for such a abrupt post, but im about to put my cylinder head back on and have two questions, first is the arp studs, what are the torque settings for the nuts, i have been informed i should go with 85, but as this is the first time doing any thing like this i just want to clear it in my head. And then also what about the studs them selfs, how tight should i go with these? no locktight required I hope/imagine?

when putting a new head gasket on is permatex copper gasket spray neccersary? could i use the loctite version of copper gasket spray? it thas all the same heat specs etc. im using a c2 spacer sandwiched in between a victor reinz 3 layer gasket?

Thank you :)

Also just found out that permatex is made by loctite.

Is there not a sheet of paper telling you torque setting for both and sequence included with your ARPs? There should be, if not give the retailer a shoeing lol

permatex copper gasket spray is not needed but highy recommended. You might aswell wait till you got some as its not really a job you want to do twice

Never hurd of using locktight on headbolts... im 99.999% sure you don't have to
