Whoops... I mean, ooooh dear... the 1 thing you don't do with nos.. but something doesnt quite add up.. I mean, unless one of the solenoids failed could that really happen?

My O level chemistry has me thinking that N2O isn't in itself flammable, Nitrogen being inert.

Im not 100% sure but in my head if you where to sit there without the engine running pressing the button this would fill the inlet up then when you do come to start it BANG lol Bet they where all there like kids playing with the buttons ff before they drove it lol

thats sounds about rite, nitrous itself isnt flamable, it merely super cools the induction temp, making combustion more volatile.

usually nos is switched by a switch of sourts, movie style with buttons, but a safer way is to use a throttle switch, allowing only nos & fuel to be added once a wide open throttle is present. therefore preventing such a mishap!

I suppose if the fogger (solenoid) fails, the inlet manifld could easily be flooded with too much fuel and a small amount of gas, could cause this. but the fuel solenoid is T'd into the fuel pump line, Does the fuel pump run with the ign. on???

Gosh that went rather cheap. Such a shame about the engine blowing up.
