VR6Rich 3
Just came back from VW with gaskets and bolts to fit my polished ally rocker cover. There are 8 bolts and 2 sleves ?! The 8 bolts all have sleeves on which you cant get through the holes in the rocker cover! :-(Does anybody have any advice on how I can fit my rocker cover? Can the orignal bolts off of my old rocker cover (late black plastic) be used?Going to phone up Stelth in a bit for some advice. Hope somebody can help. :-(

The one I got looks right but just want to make sure before I get vince to fit them for me. Plus I wont look like a twat if I give him the wrong bits! :-)

VR6Rich 3
Vince has just confirmed that these are the ones required for the plastic rocker cover. Arse! Another trip to VW to get my money back!
VR6Rich 3
Checked the number on ETKA and it is right but it also gave the bolts for the plastic rocker cover. Dont trust it...
acf8181 0
ok, you should have....8x N014 545 2 (short studs)2x N102 771 01 (long studs)10x N901 752 03 (nuts)you were prob still looking at a later car rich, i got those numbers from a '93 car...which all have alu cam covers (changed to plastic in the mid '95 obd2 changeover i think). VR6Rich 3
What version of ETKA are you running? Mine comes up part number unknown on '93 Golfs.
acf8181 0
you have to click on a different part...the diagram includes parts for earlier and later cars...but if you try and click on the late bits on early cars you get part unknown, and if you try clicking on the earlier parts on a later car you get unknown! (hope you understand that)
acf8181 0
if you look on the '93 model...its no. 5, 6, 24[ Edited Sat Sep 25 2004, 12:12PM ]
