bulldog 2
Doesn't sound too bad, but it's all in the veiwing and test drive.I'd be looking for rust, I've had 2 rusty MK3 golfs.
Jk* 0
Sounds good, its a very early model, thats the only thing that i would be worried about. Without seeing the car its hard to tell, but the price seems about right. £1200 i'd go for

thegoth 5
The early ones can be just as good ;-) . It's low millage but the service history will prove it to be true so the biggest problem is likely to be the chassis / body work. Have a good look around for rust and the condition of the under sealing. The rear calipers are notorious on all MK3s and are cheap to replace if it comes to that.
richievr 1
yeah!!! theres nothing wrong with the early ones.. :-p as said, check for rust. check everywhere possible, especially rear window surrounds and in the door shuts on the sills.and rear calipers are cheap and easy to fix, don't worry about that too much..for the record, i bought my 94 L plater almost 6 years ago on 72,000 miles and is still going strong and rust free, now on 118,000 miles.. :-d
