robvr6 0
can someone explain the purpose of these, where they are and how they work, as i can't understand the need for them if the sunroof is shut.....thanks
acf8181 0
i'm guessing they go down inside each a and c pilar (never looked on a golf, but they do on other cars)i believe they are there cause the sunroof seals aren't as good as door seals (and you wouldn't want huge seals on your roof lookin ugly), so the drain tubes are there to get rid of any water that gets in. madmonkee 0
correct! sunroof cartridge is like a big drip tray, with drain plugs in the front corners!
robvr6 0
so, i'm guessing that if your never gonna get a water tight seal and if you put your hand up behind the sliding cover and feel the edge of the sunroof and it's damp its normal, it's just that when i got the car and jet washed it it leaked slightly, this was i think due to the fact that the s/roof was slightlly lower on 1 side, i altered this and checked when it was raining and was damp...(like only a couple of drips)i have never felt the need to check the mk2 &| so was unsure of what to expect,
