steveg60cab 0 Posted January 28, 2008 Report Share Posted January 28, 2008 i just fitted a new (2nd hand) TB i bought from one of the forum members, the old problem being a fault with the idle reg and it kept stalling, but now, with the new TB the revs are running on all the time, which is very dangerous as when you throttle off, it keeps going!! i had a fault code check and had them cleared, but the problem persists. is this TB faulty too or is there some way of sorting it out?? btw, the idle speed is around the 1000rpm mark Link to post Share on other sites
shail 0 Posted January 28, 2008 Report Share Posted January 28, 2008 Have you reset the throttle body after installing the new one? Remove battery, then reconnect it, turn ignition to on position so the dash lights come on but dont start the car, you'll hear the TB making some noises - this is it resetting.
