franchise 1 Posted January 24, 2008 Report Share Posted January 24, 2008 Ok kids, just binned the 2" bore stainless magnex system with dtm pipes and got myself a powerflow 2.5" bore system with a decat. My car now sounds like a brutal machine, which I aint 100% sure about yet, hums a lot inside but sounds lethal from the outside. Gotta admit, never relaly thought the decat would make much difference but it kicks ass. Throttle response is way up, she drives better, pulls harder and feels like she'll just keep going. I know powerflow aint the best but it was steal off a mate and was built by someone we know real well. Only downside being that it was built for a vento so needed some work to make it fit the golf.Anyone else new to the decat scene and loving it? Link to post Share on other sites

Paul1982 0 Posted January 25, 2008 Report Share Posted January 25, 2008 Well the 2.5" system would make the engine breath better and you'll gain a few bhp.Every VR i have gets a 6 branch and a full 2.5 system with Decat. I once had a 100cdi sports cat but think its pointless when you can have a full decat and 15mins once every year seems nothing to me :-) Link to post Share on other sites
