160vr6 0
Hi, can anyone tell me which would be better to put in my VR6 Highline, AAA engine. A supercharger or a turbocharger? And which make would be the best over all?
craggsy 91
Depends on what you call best?S/C can give a steady 280-300bhp and usuable.Turbo will give big power also usable but more involved and not easily reversable if wanting to sell car as standard.Money wise not much difference really now. Try Strictly Dubs website as they have launched a turbo kit for VR
rodney 17
Also worth doing a search on here as there are a couple of threads on this where they have discussed it in detail

xyber 1
is it a daily driver? if it is, id supercharge it
FishWick 21
Aye, turbos not cheaply reversible if you have a low compression block (forged pistons). If you use a spacer plate and keep all the stock parts, you can whip the turbo off and run it as standard again in a day.A turbo kit running chipped standard management is just as daily usable as a Supercharger. How 'drivable' and reliable it will be is purely down to the components chosen and how well they're installed & setup.Turbos have a broader spread of torque and make a lot more power, but it's all down to individual requirements and, of course, money! Also look at the Rotrex Supercharger as KadVR6 mentioned. It would be my preference over a Vortech charger.
