How to pull up drivers footwell carpet.

I want to lift the drivers carpet as the sound material in the footwell is wet from a water matrix leak.

I've removed the trim by the sill but how do I remove that piece of trim with the bonnet catch in it? Theres a screw by the bonnet release catch and I can see theres some kind of screw where the accelerator pedal comes down as well but don't know what that is exactly.

Now this is from a very vague memory, there are two screws holding on the bonnet latch lever, and i think there is one on the plastuc surrounding it, and the big bung type thing in the throttle pedal area needs to come out too

looks like a fat allen key will do the trick.

i done mine with my fingers, its only plastic..
