twelvevalve 0 Posted December 15, 2007 Report Share Posted December 15, 2007 hi all ive done a vr6 conversion obd1 from a 16v mk3 golf ,the engine turns over but wont fire up.ive diconnected the king lead from the distibutor put in on the block and cranked the engine no spark at all but when i turn the key back to position two on the switch i get a spark,any body can help on this ?would a vag com give the answer to the problem? if there is anyone in oxford area who has a vag com Link to post Share on other sites
cabrioman 6 Posted December 15, 2007 Report Share Posted December 15, 2007 are all the plug on the engine in the correct location, take it ur usin the vr6 ecu and wirirng?? make sure all the wires from the ecu plug are goin to the correct sensor on the engine and position on the fuse board etc etc ... good luck mate Link to post Share on other sites

twelvevalve 0 Posted December 17, 2007 Author Report Share Posted December 17, 2007 yes i brought one saturday from vw but still no joy,ive been advised on changing the ignition module on the back off the ignition lock and another dizzy? as it only sparks when turning the key back to pre ignition Link to post Share on other sites
