Retrims

Does anyone know how much it costs to get a full 3dr retrim??

Thinking of getting a Highline mouve and putting Jaffa cake colour leather like Simmons's dragon green interior.

Trying to put a budget together to make up the ideal mashine :-)

Buy a standard 3dr highline (under 100k) seen one for £2500 - Charger kits for £1500 second hand - Remap £350 - £350 lowering kit - £1000 deep dish alloys - £500 full exhaust system and interior trimm??????

youl have a job findin a highline in mauve...they only came in mulberry and black

£500 for full exhaust and retrim!!!! best quote i had for a retrim was £920!

also i would have had to buy some recaros to do it too, cus no point retrimming normal spec seats imo, no where near as good.

budget 1000-1200 if you want it done properly.

iv known some one buy a set allready trimmed off ebay for 550 tho....

if you gonna charge it you want to budget around £2500(inc re-map) to do it by the time you get all the other bits and pieces needed but id go for all new gear so budget for £3000, decent exhaust £350-£400 and the interior ££££££££

if you dont get it done properly it wont last and will look shat. My cousin is a retrimmer and he said to do mine would be £800 for top quality materials and that was family rates

I wouldnt bother, spend the extra grand on a really pukka VR and clean and feed the leather it comes with

Lol i meant Mulberry mike, and the £500 was for the exhaust alone.

iv jus bought a rather mint recaro interior of pete and tbh i think it would be wasted havin it retrimmed in leather, leather interiors suck and they weigh a tonne, jus get a good nic recaro interior in black job done mate

i love leather way better than cloth imo, most ppl prefer it wich is why 99% of show cars have them. c

loth is easier to live with in teh summer tho. heated leather is the dogs in the winter

youl just have to keep typin recaro into ebay and searchin, sometimes people with mk3s sell custom interior.

iv only seen it once, and the guy had retrimmed a set of black recaros with bright pinky purple centres! went for £300, i would have bid if it was dark purple, pinky purole would have looked crap. some bargains to be had on ebay. heard of a guy on ed38 payin 550 also.

The seats are soooo comfy aren't the Phil. I have the same seats, they really hold you in place when ragging it round country lanes or the ring

nah i hated mine if felt like you had pissed your self when the heater was on ,and cloth hides the age of the car better unlike leather which cracks and needs treating all the time
