chrispvr6 0
Hi all, new to the forum, had my vr6 2 days now, and love it. However, there only seems to be 1 light working on the instrument cluster, and only really faintly illuminates the speedo. none of the other instruments are lit at all, so i guess its time to replace the lot. Has anyone done this, and if so, is the job a pain in the ass?any recommendations for any particular kit...any special tools required?i'd like the red lights as thats what in the rest of the car.I'd also like to replace the dials with the "reverse glow" type that look nice. I'm just over the M4 from The Phirm, would they be ok doing this if i gave them the parts?thanks for any help and advice.Whilst i'm here, the radio reception is hopeless, its a kenwood unit....anyone else experienced this?thankschris. xyber 1
ive got plasma dials http://www.plasmadials.co.uk/or the other ones i would go for are DDI ones awesome gtiWith the radio reception its quite common to have a bad reception on mk3 golf, aparently the stereo wiring isnt really earthed out enough, ive got the same problem, when i get chance im going to put in a bigger earth, if that doesnt sort it, kenwoods and pioneers have a small earthing rail in them compared to other brands, which if not earthed out properly can burn out the rail like a fuse, but if its that you tend to get interferance when running a CD aswelltry running an earth direct to the battery from the stereo just to test if thats the problem

xyber 1
No mine are fine, only problem i had was the rev needle was catching on the new dial, little drop of superglue sorted it though, I would think a new set will be fine and they do look really good
