Recommended Posts

as above. the alignment of the pins - take a look at the pics.

PROBS as seen

the prob is that everything is aligned the same but the engine temp gauge is approx 10 degrees out from the digital one and just today the idle is approx 1000rpm when it use to be about 750rpm. i'm unsure whether its because the outside temp is lower than normal, approx 4 to 6 degrees.

once fitted i went for a spin in it and it still idles around 1000rpm.

as some of you might figure out, i'm not that technical on some stuff!

is there any calibration or some sort of function?

VW Virgin,

Looks like the new dials are slightly different, the needles are slightly above the 0's, hence you think it is idling at 1000 but is auctually below. Not quite sure about the temp but I have to say those dials look wicked! Where can I get me a set? ;)

Thanks

from the pic it looks like they're above 0 but they're actually not.

It looks like the rev counter needle is sitting slightly to high, can you not lift the needle off and place it a bit more futher down. As to the temp gauge where did it sit before the car was up to noraml temp, because it shold sit in the middle after about 10-15minutes.

And you do they not giving temp reading for the same thing don't you. The on in the LCD dispaly is the oil temp and the one in the gauge is the water temp,
