That all went really well by the way! One quick thing i will mention.

You mentioned you had to effectivey destroy the sensor, by tapping at it from the inside... so did i partially...

I found that you can actually get at it from the front...

Put a bladed screwdriver through one of the holes on the hub and tap at the front of the sensor from there.

I didn't get a chance to try this properly but it was good for getting the rest of the debris out.

Let me know if anyone finds this useful so I can gloat ;)
