Davros 0 Posted November 16, 2007 Report Share Posted November 16, 2007 My Golf 3 vr6 highline was missing, pinking and basically flat as a pancake with 120 @ wheels. It went to several garages who said they could sort it, however - to no avail. I was seriously thinking of fitting a new engine when I searched around this site and came across Stealth Racing several times. Anyway the car was booked in and 2 major problems were unearthed. 1 a dodgy super chip- responsible for pinking and 2- the cam timing out by one tooth. So a massive thanks to vince and everyone else at Stealth for extracting 191 @ flywheel and 155 @ the wheels... Link to post Share on other sites

I lost almost 200hp and it took a couple of weeks to diagnose it! Its really amazing how much difference one tooth makes. Link to post Share on other sites
