Wayne 0
Hi guys. This past weekend i replaced my radiator. It was very easy and simple, remember, my VR6 is a Vento.Basically...remove the front grill which is mounted via clipsremove the bumper which is mounted via screws and very simple to removeremove your headlights, also mounted via screwsremove the bumper stiffener, mounted via bolts/screwsunfortunately there was no way of removing the radiator without removing the aircon, so you're gonna have to release the gas in the aircon and remove the pipes. It's much easier taking the whole radiator/fan/aircon component off so you remove the front upper plate running from fender to fender, also screwed. Then all you need to do is unscrew the radiator from the housing, replace, and reverse procedure to replace all the other components.Don't forget to re-gas your aircon!!! I'll be removing the front of my ride this weekend again to try and get to my gearbox so i'll take a couple of pics to show how it's done.Cool!
kalv 0
How long did it take you.. was it easy to get the bumper back on on your own?
Wayne 0
took me about 2hours to do it.excluding the time it took for me to clean some of the coolant/anti-freeze of some of my components in the engine bay.Would be best to have someone help you remove and fit the bumper. It is hard fitting it on your own. Wayne 0
Oh, and by the way, there are clips that needs to be removed from the spot/fog lights in the bumper, the bumper indicator's clips as well, and obviously, your headlights clips, sometimes they're hard to get off because of the dust that settles on them.
