Buddahwolfie 0 Posted August 17, 2007 Report Share Posted August 17, 2007 Am looking to put power steering on my MK2 VR6 and have got all the VR6 bits but thought i would buy a 16v PAS rack, GSF have told me there are two PAS rack for a MK2, one is for a 16V and one is not, does anyone know the difference?Also they have a expensive surcharge, anyone got a cheap rack for sale not bothered if its knackered. kilokilla 0 Posted November 10, 2007 Report Share Posted November 10, 2007 you can use the vr rack mate just get the arms off of a 16v to make your track right unless you have vr subframe then just use the vr rack they are much nicer to use also if you are still on manual steering you will need to change the knuckle that goes from the column to the rack and i think you will find the difference between the 2 16v racks is the number of splines where the knuckle joins the rack.cheers carl.
