Jk* 0
Im not going to bore you all with an essay, but just like to say, WHAT AN AMAZING COUNTRY! A quick list of some of the things we did:- Rode an elephant- Got showered by an elephant- Cleaned an elephant- Numerous boat trips- Stayed in 5*hotels in 3 very different locations (inner city, up in the hills, middle of the jungle)- Jewellery mines- Herbs and spice gardens- Tea Factory- Crocodile on my head! - Monkey on my shoulder- Held a python.- Safari- witnessing wild elephants, leopards, snakes etc roaming free, then got to sleep in the jungle with them outside out challais.- Releasing 3 day old turtles into the sea/holding turtles- Seeing the damage the Tsunami did to the island. So much more!!!!! But on a down side, after speaking to many locals and going off the beacon track to see the REAL Sri Lanka we found out some very interesting information. DID YOU KNOW: Only 1/4 of the money sent to Sri Lanka actually got to the people. Approx £5million, the rest went to politicians etc :@. All the boxes and aid parcels sent to Sri Lanka did NOT get to the affected areas, and over 1000 containers still remain unopened and are sat in the port as they didnt want to spend the money opening them :@SOME of my pics. Took around 200 in total. Me and a Monkey (Or two monkeys!)Me and a Python Me and the crocOne of many beautiful sunsetsShare and share alikeThe beach boys outside the hotelComing soon to England!
