GER 0
Hi folks, i am experiencing problems with my vr6 (89k miles). For the past two days, when i apply the clutch (ie approaching red light) and the revs drop, the car sometimes cuts out. Also the idle revs are dipping to 400rpm and increasing past 1000rpm and the engine again cuts out.Any ideas of what the problem may be and/or advice on acure would be appriciated.Cheers Gareth [lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1186653493_1389_FT0_dsc01281.jpg][/lightbox]
Focker-out 0
Try removing the throttle body and cleaning it with some carb cleaner, it will prob be fairly oily, also check the intake pipes and breathers for any leaks
philbatesvr6 0
i had the exact same thing happen to me , as focker-out said remove the throttle body and clean it out thats wat sorted mine, but then it made a new problem it kept reving to 2k on idle so i took it psi and they plugged it in and it had lost is calibration so they sorted that out for me , but that was only because i had the later type throttle body fitted with the electric motor not the mechnical arm
