Burnt oil smell when hot,

can't see no signs of a leak so just wondering if this is a common thing when you have a K&N cone filter fitted?

no, theres no smoke either, it smells like a cam cover gasket leaking onto the exhaust but everything looks clean under the bonnet!

breather off or leaking?

yeha coul dbe the breather pipe check it for splits or hangin off if not the only other thing it col dbe is the rocker cover seal mate, normal leak from the rear corners

is that the one that comes off the back corner near on the drivers side? i had a quick poke around and everything looks ok.

yeha it s small pipe on the back corner of the rocker cover on to the air intake, wel u mite havea small oil; leak then mate try and have a good look around

Just had another look at that and what does the little pipe on the top do? i'm guessing it's vacuum and the breather thingy is vacuum operated or something? reason being the vacuum pipe was a very loose fit? i've tightened the connecter so see how it goes?

i felt where the breather pipe joins the air intake and it's very oilly around there. i'm thinking this is either gonna be dripping onto the manifold or the smell comming back out through the K&N. But what does this oil comming out there indicate?

how does the valve work? i.e. is that cos the vacuum pipe wasn't on properly oil is just passing out through the breather as the diaphragm isn't operating due to no vacuum or am i wrong?
