james4287 1
Just had another look at that and what does the little pipe on the top do? i'm guessing it's vacuum and the breather thingy is vacuum operated or something? reason being the vacuum pipe was a very loose fit? i've tightened the connecter so see how it goes?i felt where the breather pipe joins the air intake and it's very oilly around there. i'm thinking this is either gonna be dripping onto the manifold or the smell comming back out through the K&N. But what does this oil comming out there indicate?how does the valve work? i.e. is that cos the vacuum pipe wasn't on properly oil is just passing out through the breather as the diaphragm isn't operating due to no vacuum or am i wrong?[i've never owned a vw before!]
