andy 0
Hi people, new to this forum. Bought a mint 94 VR6 about two months ago. Was very impressed, apart from the soft handling (to be sorted later), engine was performing brilliantly until I sat in traffic for about half hour and it overheated in dramatic style. Fitted a new auxillary water pump as this was where a leak had formed. Took it out for a test run and it overheated again, wherupon I began to suspect the head gasket. Sure enough a compression test confirmed cylinders 1 & 6 had very low figures. Have fixed many poorly heads/gaskets before so will do this, but I am struggling to get any info ie a manual to assist me. I need to know torque figs etc for all the relevant bolts etc and work sequence. Have ordered the VR6 Engine book by Peter Russek but the delivery time is several weeks. Can anybody help me out or point me in the right direction? Cheers
