kalv 0
Every transaction I've had from Edworthys and 247PPD has been complete bo**ocks!www.edworthys.co.uk/www.247ppd.comThe whole process is a farce. The website claims the item is in stock. You pay and money comes of your credit card the next day. You then have to wait 2/3 weeks before you get the part cuase these charlie browns are just middle men. They then instruct the manufactures to make the product and then ship it. You call them (same company) and just get fobbed off "I'll look into it and get back to you".. yeah right...I bought my full exhaust system from edworthys and air filter and it took 6 weeks to arrive... I even got my credit card company to cancel the transaction and got my money back (temporarily) - and got the exhaust - but now they have debited me again. So when I needed some springs, I checked out the 247ppd and the price was ok, but the company is the same "Edworthys".. i've been waiting 3 weeks now....I'm going to buy from a shop next time and walk out with the goods in my hands... kalv 0
Thank god for credit cards! If you pay for anything and have entered your PIN, then you can't claim anything. But if you bought over phone/online you can raise disputes!
Roan 0
I have raised a Small Claims against Edworthys. No refund for over 3 months after I ordered a Gmax kit. They lied "oh it's in the post" then said it hadn't been sent as it was out of stock. So why advertise it for sale then? That's against trade descriptions. Their customer service is non-existent. They amailed me today yo ask if my "issue" had been sorted out. Lots of hassle but I'll take them for costs & interest as well. Idiots.
kalv 0
Stick to it... I lodged a formal complaint with trading standards and then sent Edworthys the following letter (recorded delivery) ::Dear Sir/MadamRef: Sales of Goods Act 1979I have been advised by Trading Standards of my rights and am acting on their instruction. On 28th March 2007, I purchased a Scorpion Exhaust system for my MK3 Golf VR6 for £193.98 that I still have not received.I have explained that these items are required for my vehicles MOT. I complained to you several times about the delay in sending the goods to me but I have heard nothing since. Only today I got a response saying, “They are looking into itâ€. This isn’t acceptable. If the goods are not received with 14 days I will hold Edworthy’s in Breach of Contract under Sales of Goods act 1979 and take this matter further. Please respond to my complaint within 7 days...... and I got my exhaust a few days later...
