mark@vagworx 0
Anyone got any??Any good, as my wipers are absolutely pants at speed....when it rains it's like pick a course on the road....stick to it.....and hope for the best!!!
acf8181 0
a wiper blade is a wiper blade pretty much. just avoid really cheapy brands. go for bosch if you wanna be sure.any wiper will lift at 120 plus. buy some rain-x and apply to your windscreen....then you wont need the wipers on above 40mph. mark@vagworx 0
Points taken. My wipers haven't got the wind deflectors on them...ie the force keeps the wipers pressed down on the windscreen. Does anyone know if you can get these separate?
acf8181 0
the deflectors do bugger all...i had them on at one point...still lifted.rain-x is the solution...trust me, buy some today.
MarkGolf 6
Get the new VW wiper blades/Arms...I've had to get a few sets for some mates recently and they are the best wipers you can get! They are just a flexible blade which attachs to the arm... Get down ya local VW dealer and have a look at the new cars.. Will cost you around the £40 mark... Thinkk on a mk3 u need left hand side lupo gti ones... dont quote me on that! But with the pressure of the spring on the arm and the aero type blade, water hasn't a chance of stayng in the way.. acf8181 0
£40 on wipers?! are you mad! how about a tenner for two new halfords ones and a bottle of rain-x.
MarkGolf 6
These look real tidy and cool, and I guarentee you wouldn't regret the £40 when you see how much better they are...Thats for a pair of arms, blades and lil nut covers...

antera309 3
How do Single-wiper conversions compare on rain-clearing performance at speed?Any improvement or is this purely a styling mod?[ Edited Tue Aug 10 2004, 06:07PM ]

MarkGolf 6
No idea on part numbers I'm afriad, I simply look at ETKA when I go in (saturdays) and just look at the pics...If you want the part numbers.. most mk4 owners on the mk4 forum will know or even people on the corrado forum as they all seem to follow each other on buying them! but they are good!Im pretty happy with my single wiper, never actually had a bad thought come to think of it, just make sure you use lock tight on the nut that join the wiper mechainsim to the motor as i dind't and most dont and it used to keep working loose and stop working just when u needed it!!
