baldyman 0
Hi Guys,I've got noisy timing chain on my 98 vr6, On inspection of upper guide it has been replaced but there was several old bits i had to fish out (thought this was causing the noise!) Put it back together but rattle still there.Would like to know if there are any special precautions on removing driveshafts and the gearbox? As i think the lower chain cover will now have to be removed. Any info would be great thanks.

Bigjobbo 0
I did mine and found i had trouble with the rear mounting. I'l be taking it out again soon, and will release the steering link off the rack and drop the frame down. The box will practically fall out this way, although the PAS fluid may also have to be replaced this way.
