billy111 0 Posted May 25, 2007 Report Share Posted May 25, 2007 My 95 VR6's coil pack is causing my car to misfire ocasionally, if I buy a Beru replacement unit, can i fit it myself or do I need any specialist tools/equipment?Eurocar parts have one for £122.48 + VAT, would a VW dealer be cheaper?Thanks for any help you can give. Cryptic1911 0 Posted May 25, 2007 Report Share Posted May 25, 2007 its simple, 3 bolts on the covers, a plug, the 6 plug wire ends, and 4 bolts to hold it on. should take about 10 mins.the 3 bolts on the covers are triple square bits and i believe the allens in the coilpack are 6mm? gavinvr6 0 Posted May 25, 2007 Report Share Posted May 25, 2007 i just done the coil pack plugs and leads first time ever in about an hour and that included feckering about with the plug leads coz i aint got round to sorting out a plug lead tool, i have minor mechanical knowledge but aint afraid to have a go, paid 115 including the vat for my coil pack from allparts motor factors, they got an add in PVW and other mags as VOLKSPARES, do it urself its cheaper than probably and extra 100 for a grease monkey to do it Link to post Share on other sites
