  1. Hi, I realise you posted this question a while ago, but my car is making the same noise and I wondered if and how you managed to cure the problem. Any help greatly appreciated. Will Finney
  2. I recently had the front left track rod end replaced and ever since the car pulls sharply to the left. I had the tracking checked and no adjustment was needed. Does it need a 4 wheel laser alignment? Any help greatly appreciated.
  3. I'm not sure if this is the same thing but in 'Volkswagen Golf+' July edition, someone asked whrere they can find a replacement mutli-sided V-belt. The response was quote 'you can use a mutli V-belt from an Alfa Romeo Twin Spark 16v. Avaiable in both 6- and 7-rib versions, he bought the 1-metre 988mm version and hasnt encounterd many problems.' Thought that maybe of interest.
  4. My 95 VR6's coil pack is causing my car to misfire ocasionally, if I buy a Beru replacement unit, can i fit it myself or do I need any specialist tools/equipment? Eurocar parts have one for £122.48 + VAT, would a VW dealer be cheaper? Thanks for any help you can give.
  5. What is a reasonable charge to have a sports suspension fitted? I have bought a Pi kit (35mm) non-adjustable. I have been quoted from £270 - £400 to have it fitted, which I think is too high. I was budgeting on £150-180 (including wheel alignment etc). Also can anyone recommend a good garage in the cambridgeshire/suffolk area?
  6. Two questions: I've only owed the car for a few weeks, and still dont really understand how the alarm works. Once ive stopped and opened the drivers door the alarm will go off after 15 seconds once the hazards lights have flashed. is there anyway of preventing this? i.e so i can use the boot without the bloody alarm going off! Also I took the car to get an MOT and the alarm kept going off there. Niether myself nor the four mechanics could figure out how to put the car in "service mode" so they could look at the car with the bonnet open without the alarm going off everytime the drivers door
