EIP Manifold vs. Schrick manifold...

Recommended Posts

Eip says that in comparison with the Schrick mani' date=' their mani produces more HP and torque...is it true, witchone performes better?...

This is the eip mani--------->http://www.eiptuning.com/eip/intakemanifolds.html

The EIP manni er basicly a Euro 2.9 manifold that you find on the Corrado 2.9 abv VR6.

Schrick is working well, I dont think you will feel any diffrence on a stock engine with the EIP. With Forced induction I think you can get better numbers with EIP's.

Schrick and VW Motorsport mannis are not suitable for Turbo or Supercharger.

why are they not suitable for forced induction????

I'm sure others are running them !

you can get problems withe the flap not moving once the boost has built up this can be overcome by switching the flap at lower RPM befor the boost has got to high.

Schricks work just fine with Superchargers mate.

They _do_ work with turbo's too, but i'm told that you need to alter the switching point on the manifold to accommodate it.

that pic looks familiar pete-lol!yes they do work fine.switching point is 4k revs.i get a burst of extra power at 5k.dunno whether thats the 248s,sc on full boost from 4k onwards,or the aquamist which works from 4k onwards.i would say its the mani wide open while the sc is on full boost??

I had the VW Motorsport VSR 4 years ago. The "flap" looked like a weak peace. Been reading about Wortexe'rs getting their "flap" loose, and sucked in to the engine.

I guess with a Supercharger most people dont run over 10 PSI... But its a very weak mechanism this "flap" switch thing. Anyway, back to topic.

The EIP is not worth the money, get some welder to fix your stock manni for you. Save the EIP money.
