breathing problems!!!

hi all i need some help..............my P.C.V valve (i think thats what its called???) thingy broke the other day- the one which goes to from the cam case to inlet pipe. i replaced it with a mini K & N filter and blocked the inlet pipe part (until i get a new one).........is this going to cause any loss of oil pressure??? or damage my engine??

i just need to know as i've got a 400 mile round trip to do at the weekend??

hi there I guess your talking about the oil breather valve?? Mine broke and I ziptied it together till i got my replacement. :$ Not sure if it causes any oil pressure loss, but certainly hasnt caused any problems or damage and this happened 2 months ago. I got my replacement from a Ford garage off a galaxy v6 as I was told you had to buy the pipe it is connected to aswell if purchased from a VW dealer.

Anyway here is the Ford part number 7364573 total cost was £24.98

I did this a while ago, things you will notice though;

1) spitting oil out of the filter

2) The smell

shouldnt cause any damge though, but as above, go to Ford for the part as opposed to VW

really appreciate that thanks, i got a bit worried i got alot of vapour coming/steam out when it got really hot and i thought i would check

and thanks for the part number too!! i didnt think of the ford route

No worries I didnt think of that untill I searched and found someone else said that Ford made it on this forum
