Roan 0
I have a G-Max kit due to be delivered any day now, and fitted ASAP which should drop the car by 35mm or so as you know. I am also still on standard 15" BBS alloys, which I love but are badly in need of a refurb. I'm toying with the idea of going up to 16" (maybe BBS splits or TT speedlines) as the cost to refurb will be at least £300 (expensive I know but the company I would be using will bring them up better than new). I've checked out sizes for tyres etc on http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html and am wondering if I could get away with 205/55/R16s even after the drop when the G-Max is fitted? Would I have to go down to 50 or 45 tyres. I would prefer not to go for 195 widths just to protect the wheels a bit better if possible...Any thoughts people?

Roan 0
Still on the hunt for new wheels... I have my eye on a set of TT 6 spoke ones, 17" 7J ET32 Will they fit without any scrubbing once I have the car lowered with the G-Max kit on 205/40 tyres? I know that 15" 205 50 is roughly about he same as 17 205 40 and am I right in thinking that the standard VR6 BBS wheels are 6.5J width?
Guest ciarzo
I've just bought a 97 VR6. It's been lowered 40mm and it bottoms out with 4 on board on B roads. I'm thinking of replacing the rear dampers and springs with new standard parts. But by fuck it pulls like a freight train
