VR6Rich 3
What did you use for the GPS timings Nige? Really got to try and make this next time, doubt ill take mine out after seeing what happened to Petes though! :-(
craggsy 91
Rich don't let what happened to Pete put you off. It was just one of those things. Plus all the rest of us pushed hard and still got home fine. Just look at Aswads time on Nigels GPS timings 9.38.....and he still came home.
thegoth 5
I've got a Gizmondo ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gizmondo ) .The firmware has been hacked so it will run 'unsigned' software and the device booted into WinCE. I wrote a small application which simply logs the NMEA data once a second and writes it to a file with a control to turn the logging on and off.Plotting the latitude against longitude as a scatter plot gives a 'Ring shaped graph. Overlay the GPS co-ords for the Bridge and Gantry and tweak the original data set so that no points appear between the start and finish. Job done.[lightbox=../../e107_files/public/1176291792_2196_FT168810_clipboardimage.jpg][/lightbox]
Earwig 89
Yeah rich, don't let Pete's Mishap put you off ;-)Amazing experiance !According to the marshall on the scene the track on that corner is in shade all morning and as such is a bit more slippery than usual. It could have been any one of us, Pete was just the first one into the corner !Also you don't have to drive the car hard on any part of the track ! I didn't go there with the plan of breaking any times and just for the experiance and I never regretted a second of it.I will be going next time without a doubt ;-)Mark. I was only 34 seconds slower in my 1600cc diesel auto estate. I reckon I'd have been close to a sub 10-minute if it wasn't for the Sierra Cosworth holding me up! Still shitting myself from your sideways moment on that 9:38 lap though Cheers,Andy
