VR40 0
Hi Gav. You can order Jamex coilovers from eBay for around £280 delivered. you'll need to go to the stealers to get a new set of rubber top mounts, i always replace mine when i fit my coilovers as most golfs are over 10 years old so they're not in great condition. Don't forget you'll also need to have your trqacking and camber done once you've fitted your suspension, this'll set you back about £60.hth Greg
vr6madmike 0
Some spring compressors, and squirt WD40 over all the bolts the night before.
rodney 17
there's quite a good thread in the members section on how to do it... Also don't need coilovers unless going low more than 35mm-40mm. koni/gmax do a spring/shock kit.. Option is yours!May be worth doing strut tops as mentioned (bearings) and as mentioned cast and camber on the old laser alignment is required.if you're both doin it then should be done in a couple of hours. Spray them bolts to help the processGood luck
vr6madmike 0
Took me and a mate 4 hours to do my konis but we had to take stuff off the old ones and dismantle the new ones ect, If you have an impact gun I think you can easy do it in 2 hours.

Paul1982 0
I think its something to do with compressing the springs. If you have coilovers you wouldnt need to use one.
