Glyn Mk3 0
I had my vr lowered about 3 months ago, and the coilovers provide a very stiff ride but the handling is much better! However how low have you got your's lowered?? As you can see I would clearly scuff the front splitter if I moved any further forward, not ideal having to stop short in many parking spaces... I'm sounding all practical now lol !amazed
six appeal 53
Well currently I have about another 10 turns on the coilovers before they reach bottom! I'll be able to do this once I change the tyres enabling it to go lower ;o)This is the ride height it gets used at ALL the time, despite people thinking I just lower it for shows, and its a daily driver, as those that know me will testify to. VR6Steve 0
Simon, I can't believe you manage to use your car daily that low! :-) I'm just jealous because of all the speed humps around our way and the entrance to our car park has a nasty dip as you go up the ramp.Still having said that its lowered about 30mm, which certainly is enough to remove the 4x4 look. six appeal 53
LOL, Steve to get out of my drive knocks the spoiler off EVERYDAY, lol. Both of the roads at the end of mine have humps on them so no avoiding them, but as long as I'm sensible its ok.Have to run it that low really after getting the plate for Xmas! )

Pittuf 0
I've dropped mine around 60mm and i'm running 17's with 205's and had no probs what so ever.Well, apart from on the way to GTI festival having to follow vwmadgirl at about 40mph over a load of speed bumps, and then on the roads leading up to the pod I was getting quite a lot of scraping, mainly due to the rather large passenger I had with me, and haring down the country roads. All good fun though
