Diagnostic Connections

Hi,

Have done a search and read all the diagnostic port locations, but cannot for the life of me find the port on my 1994 passat vr6 can someone point me in the right direction please.

I have had the stereo out and all the switches below but there is no sign of the OBD or the white and black connectors so is there any other place. Have also checked all round the ashtray location and nothing.

in the 92ish MY for the golfs, there was no port, the plugs go directly into the diagnostic machine. Im sure if you have a look around the fusebox, you should be able to find the plugs there.

VW can print you off a very numpty friendly wireing diagram, with locations and where they are in the loom etc!!

Thats if the parts guys can be assed. But dont think yours will have a port

Had the fuse box cover all off and can see a few different connections there one is blue one brown there is a white one and a black one but black has a blank plugged into!! Also the white and black connections are far apart is this the ones??? also they only have one wire into each does this sound like them??

it sounds like them mate yeah, best thing is to go an get them plgged into a diag machine and see which ones work!

shouldnt be too far apart though, see if vw will print you some of those diagrams, their v helpfull, give colours and everything.

have found the port.

Its to the left hand side of steering wheel, you have to move the steering height adjuster and remove the trim and hey presto ther it is a obd connector. Excellent
