Earwig 89
Looking at getting me some tyres stretched over my wheels that are being refurmbed at the moment but I need to know what sort of size to go for ?I have never stretched tyres before !The wheels are BBS RKII 17"x7.5...They usually wear 205/40/17.I don't want a stupid stretch and have an inch of rim hanging out the side as I personally think it looks ridiculous, but I do want a good stretch....I have been told that 195 will go on easily but what sort of look will it give me ? Would 185 be to much ?Somone also mentioned something about with stretching I might need a larger sidewall on the tyre, Is this true or can I still use a 40 ? ?Also what is the best tyre to stretch...I usually like to wrap my wheels in Toyo Proxes and I see man others do also...Good for stretching ?I have a few days to play and look around before I get the tyres so all input is very welcome :-)Thanks for your help.Mark. Earwig 89
Yeah P zero's are nice but damned expensive for a tyre that is going to be on the car such a short time....Was hoping to get some Toyo's or something for around the same price as I get 205's but they don't seem to exist....Hmmm tough choice to make. :-)Mark. petervr6 0
the dunlops have a very good side wall for streching ive got 205/40 on my tt comps and the dunlop looks slighty streched compared to the others so would look wicked in 195.
