ok ive lost my car key and alarm key fob and no i have no spare. if i take my service book to vw can they cut a key from the millions of bar codes and numbers in there.also can skoda do also coz a friend of mine work there.also how can i get into the car without breaking the glass or any thing else.

hi mate, not sure if the keys can be made off the service book codes, you'll have to ask the parts dept tomoz, how old is the car??? you might a built in immobiliser which will require the key to be coded, this will require the car at the garage.

you could try one of those mobile lock smith's sometimes they can make keys upto match the lock.

I've been there bud. RAC opened the car for me. VW cut a couple of keys but none worked, in the end i had to send a door barrel to london to get a master key. VW then cut a chipped key and i had to pay about £35 for them to code the key. That's not all ....... car still wouldn't start so i had a local alarm specialist rip out the original scorpion and fit a brand spanking CAT1 alarm.

A stupid mistake on my part cost in total about £500.

no how you would have felt mate. found the key the the other half car on the floor so she must have picked them up with her keys and droped them on the floor with out knowing lucky i used her car 2day so i have ordered a vspare key there cutting it 2moz an my mate at skoda it going to programe it.
