billy111 0 Posted November 29, 2006 Report Share Posted November 29, 2006 Two questions:I've only owed the car for a few weeks, and still dont really understand how the alarm works. Once ive stopped and opened the drivers door the alarm will go off after 15 seconds once the hazards lights have flashed. is there anyway of preventing this? i.e so i can use the boot without the bloody alarm going off!Also I took the car to get an MOT and the alarm kept going off there. Niether myself nor the four mechanics could figure out how to put the car in "service mode" so they could look at the car with the bonnet open without the alarm going off everytime the drivers door was opened.As the car is completely standard I'm assuming that the alarm is standard aswell.
