hello i am new here ,and to the vr6, and it looks a good site.

anyway to the problem ,i have a 1993 vr6 and it seems too slow. It accelerates ok and evenly but there seems to be no performance, no head snapping back type thing.

I had the car on a scanner and it come back with 3 codes they are

00525 oxygen sensor-g39 no signal occurs intermittantly

00561 mixture adjustment adaptation limit (add) exceeded occurs intermittantly

00513 engine speed sensor-g28 no signal

so my question is would any of these make my car run poorly and what do they mean?

thanks

Speed sensor will show up if you scanned it with the engine turned off. First one looks like a lambda sensor fault' date=' not to sure about the second one.

I always check my codes with ignition on, but without the engine running, and I have never had the code come up for 'engine speed sensor'!

Sounds like its definitely the cam position sensor to me. Had exactly the same problem with mine, a new sensor restored it to full health! not cheap though ~ £45. One owner saw a 25Bhp loss with a faulty cam sensor on a corrado VR. Faulty crank sensor will in most case's not allow the engine to start. Cant see how the problems you describe point to the crank sensor.
