Riggsvr6-again 0
People say that it's pointless to chip OBD2, but i bought a superchip and had it fitted/mapped and gained 13bhp with figures to prove!!

big dave 2.8 0
was thinking of getting one off ebay got a obd1 how do you fit them and where is the ecu any solering involved any help plzcheers all
gav_113 0
ecu is under passenger scuttle panel, remove ecu, undo and remove small torx screws at end of ecu, pull out board. in the middle of board is one big chip, remove cover and gentle pull chip out. to fit new chip simply push new chip in and replace cover, and put every thing back together. easy..there is no soldering with a simple push in chip. Bigjobbo 0
What determines whether it's got an obd1 and an obd2 is it the early models that have the obd1? What year did they change??
IbiVR 0
ecu is under passenger scuttle panel' date=' remove ecu, undo and remove small torx screws at end of ecu, pull out board. in the middle of board is one big chip, remove cover and gentle pull chip out. to fit new chip simply push new chip in and replace cover, and put every thing back together. easy..there is no soldering with a simple push in chip.[/quote']Not strictly true.Only the earlier OBD1 is socketed, later OBD1 is soldered. OBD2 is a 44 pin soldered sm chip.Tom.
gav_113 0
yes tom i was going to say that this only applies to early obd1's....
