mike_blackvr6 0
Hi, wondering whether you guys can share any light on this... I'm looking at getting a speed cam detetctor like a road angel etc and ideally would like one with laser detection too, been looking at the new road angels on ebay which seem to go for around £100 and have the laser detector built in, has anyone got any views on these or other detectors in a similar price range?Any help greatly appreciated,Mike. mk3anni 0
Road angles are very good, I cant fault themI had the classic for a few years, now i have the navigator. The laser alert isnt really worth having, because once its gone off you've usually been had!!
Addsvr6 0
I've got a snooper radar detector for laser guns, fitted just under the number plate, have had to turn the damn thing off, too many false alarms doin my head in
dstyrrell 0
DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY !!! ive got Snooper and various friends have Road angels, if you pick up laser you've had it anyway, and most people know where the static cameras are in there area, if you don't they post the posistions on the internet free anyway. Both myself and people i know with detectors have driven past camera vans with no alert, This is either because the vans have new technology or that the camera wasn't on but just seems a bit of a coincidence that its happened to alot of us with different devices i.e Snooper and Road angels, so i wouldn't be suprised if they have new technology, i think PURPLE HIGHLINE MONSTER could shed some light on this for us.Best advice to you would be to not speed in residential areas which is where most statics are, and when you are gonna put the right foot down do it sensibly in safe areas, lets not forget that the police are actually doing it for our safety. In my experience if you read the road correctly you know where you can give it some and if you read the road ahead far enough you'll see coppers from a mile off anyway. [/quote']Good advice mate, was thinking of probably uploading all the speed cam alerts to my tomtom instead, the general consensus seems to be that radar/laser detection is a waste of time as you've already been caught if you hear the alert...
