Buzzark 0
I'm sick of trying to clean them and the laquers flaking in a few places too so I've decided to paint my wheels.I'd like to keep them silver but want a bright silver, maybe with a little pearl in it - something subtle but a bit different.I've got a HVLP wagner kit so I can get a decent finish but can anybody recommend an online paint supplier?I was toying with using an enamel for durability instead of an acrylic or 2 pack synthetic, anybody got any recomendations on that? They're the BBS solitudes btw. Buzzark 0
Ah yes, we have one of those in stockport and I used to buy my paint for touch-ups and scratches there but I haven't seen it open for ages.Good that I can order online though, didn't know that was an option. dstyrrell 0
don't bother with the hassle of painting mate. get them powder coated, you'll get a far better finish. I had mine doe and they look better than new and just wipe clean.Powder coating is awesome
Buzzark 0
Yeah, powder coating is good but I can't afford to lose the use of the car while it's being done - I'd have to get the tyres removed etc and the only powder coaters' local can't do that.I checked it out and I could buy a new set of wheels for the same cost! (Obviously, not BBS solitudes from a VW dealer though)
