matth76 1
You shouldn't need bigger injectors on that spec. I would say around 205-210bhp if in good condition. I wouldn't bother uprating the pistons and rods unless you go for much bigger power.
clarkie 1
any 1 else?hopfully will find out at the end of next month if i can make it to the rr day
mk3anni 0
About 210. but Matt's right, those injectors are far to big, I'm using small injectors with my stage 2 charger kit.Madness
jaysVR6 2
Why would you spend all that money on mods like that?
clarkie 1
give me a reason why not?
RIX 0
cause it´s alot off money, that amount of hp.but it´s very fun they run soo good,i had a tsr 3.0 with std. cams didn´t run right until a dane remade it,my mate had it first, then got a good deal for a abt 3.1 that he renovatied and sold me the 3.0 from tsr, good god it was good after we had the head remade in dk. IbiVR 0
To be honest you could lose the pistons/rods and not touch the crank. Leave in your standard injectors, and std clutch will be fine too. Youve saved yourself over £1k and not lost any power really.IMO theres no need for the bottom end work unless you want to go a little further and get a big valve head, all ported and with uprated springs etc, then with that spec you can rev the whole lot to 8k+ and your off.2.9 with 11:1 268's 6 branch and decat - 210 ish+ pistons/rods/crank work - 211 maybe... with ported BVH and rev happy madness - 230 up is possibleTom. clarkie 1
thanks for ya thoughts guys. i bought the engine fully rebuilt to this spec for £800 which i thought was a pretty gd deal as i was goin to spent that on a standard rebuild anyway. any 1 else have any thoughts?stu
IbiVR 0
If its already all been done then thats not a bad buy for £800.save up and get a sorted head for it now :)Tom.
RIX 0
yes do the head before you put it in,if it´s the bottom end is ballanced then go for 276 cams so you can use over 7000 rpm.
