VRmonster 1
Ok, as some of you know, i doubted my spax suspension, as its been that low it was riding on the bumpstops, now ive just stripped those shat poly ones off, and installed some cool little solid rubber ones, and much smaller. she now rides like a dream, as i can set the dampening down a little. so now i just need to sort the bushes, wishbones, tyres, tracking, camber, and ill have complete control of my vr again. lol. with no nasty twitchy steering over every sweet wrapper.I am still going for some fk's as ive heard so much good feedback about them, so anyone interested in buying some spax rsx coilovers (not just mk3 diesel, actually designed for the vr6) for 275 o.n.o in about a months time, get in touch.also while looking over the car, i realised that the bracket that the fse boost valve i had fitted (i know! pointless, but i was new to vr's. lol) sat on had been bent, and thus the fuel pipe was kinked. after a little tweeking of the fse bracket, i managed to get the pipe straight, now shes starts fine, and goes like a rocket. much better on the throttle. i never realised how much these little problems effect your car, and how a slight alteration can bring it back to life. im looking forward to my next repair now. lol. %-6 [ Edited ]
eViL 0
Er.. who told you the FSE boost valve is useless?Think you'll find it'll come in VERY handy once you go down the forced induction route..
VRmonster 1
yeah, i know it will. i bought it before i even knew a vr6 could be turbod, jus because someone told me they dont have a very good fuel pressure as standard. the think is, i had it fitted and didnt get the it tuned, so lost some performance. i know it will be good once blown tho. Pittuf 0
VRmonster, right my car is now tracked and cambered correctly and all I can say I am sooo glad I have put the FK's on! My car is now enjoyable to drive, still ain't set it up properly, gotta play with the damper stiffness and drop it anoth 10mm or so, but the ride at dinner time and on the way home tonight was brill. VRmonster 1
obviously it will be stiffer than standard, but is it noticable, realy i should get to a show and let you drive it to compare, or i could drive yours. either way, im looking forward to the fk's, they sound so good. Pittuf 0
I set mine to full stiffness front and rear and went out for a ride this evening, did about 30 miles I suppose and was quite surprised. It did begin to annoy me abit after a while but it still drove really well. When I had the AVO's fitted to my fiesta, when set to full stiffness it was like driving a brick, really harsh ride.
